Comments for La Bougnate, Paris restaurant, Auvergne restaurant in Paris, 2 rue germain Pilon, Paris, 75018
This tiny restaurant is a real jewel in the Pigalle area. Stumbled upon it making a wrong turn to another one. Best mistake I've ever made. I had the best duck confit I've had in Paris and the staff was perfect. Went back twice during our stay and will definitely go back on my next trip.

What a surprising find in the Pigalle area! The cuisine is typical Auvergne/Perigord, and delicious. Frank (host) and Simone (chef) made us feel at home, and in two successive visits we felt like family friends. The interior is tiny, warm and inviting, and is filled with beautiful paintings by Simone and other artists. The mural on the main wall is charming and amusing, and reflects the country flavor of the Auvergne. This will be a regular stop for us when we visit Paris again.
