I enjoyed a fantastic Friday night meal at this restaurant. Staff were friendly and efficient and we were seated with no problem. The food was outstanding and full of flavour, we went for the butter chicken and the chicken madras and would recommend to anyone. We also had starters. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Paris and staying in this area.

After reading comments, i was sure to go to that restaurant. It took me 35 minutes to get there. My appetizer came with the mane cours. The traditional HOT that I ordered was a let's say, just spicy. The Kronenburg... I cannot tell. But not Kronenburg. One big disapointment I would say. Next time an other restaurant.

I Was in Paris for almost 10 days and lodged in the artistic Saint- Michel district, savoring the unique atmosphere there. Lunched and Supped frequently at the nearby Safran, an unpretentious Indian restaurant hidden away in a 13 rue de la Harpe. The interiors are mellowly lit, decked with Indian Motifs, and a fairly large Tibetan Buddha. Soft Bollywood music made our daily experiences even more enjoyable. Though the offerings are the standard Indian fare available in almost every Indian restaurant in W.Europe, what made this place appealing was the warmth of the people- the waiters. We felt treated quite well during those few days we ate there. Since we like our food spicy, we were served rather piquant and tongue-tingling fares, even a East-Indian Egg curry, consisting of tandoor-baked eggs, cooked pre-coated with spices, and served on a thick curry base, along with whole-wheat tandoori breads, lightly smeared with salted ghee. Their Kulfi was, too, excellent.
