I really enjoyed my meal at Russsons. The staff were warm and welcoming from the minute i arrived to the minute i left. There was a varied choice of food on the menu, and a specials fish board, so there is something for everyone. There is no faults i could find with the food, it is cooked to perfection! The decor really relates to stratford, with pictures and quotes from plays by William Shakespeare.

Russons is our favourite place to eat as we are local to Stratford-Upon-Avon. We love that fact that it is family run restaurant; the Owner works in the kitchen and is often seen out on the restaurant floor, her daughter is the Restaurant Manager and her son-in-law is the Head Chef. They are always friendly and happy to see you. It’s lovely to see a family that works so well together and it is great for the customers as you can see the love attention that is put into both the food and service.
I like the fact that the fish specials board is changed regularly so there is always something new to try. It is also very refreshing in Stratford to see an A la carte menu which changes with the seasons. Its very refreshing in Stratford to be able to see menus that change with the seasons. My favourite starter has to be the Black Pudding and Smoked Bacon in Mustard sauce. My favourite fish dish at the moment is the Fisherman’s Ocean Grill: it is a medley of Trout, Salmon and Seabass, with a mixed salad, aioli mayo and new potatoes. There are also meat dishes available on the A la Carte menu for those non-fish lovers. Their deserts look very tempting and I’ve often heard people comment on how good they are, but I’m not a dessert person myself, so you are on your own here, but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. They have a good selection of wines which are reasonably priced
If your visiting Stratford, we highly recommend a visit to Russons, its just a short walk from the restaurants on Sheep Street but is well worth it. You won’t disappointed and let’s face it, if us locals are eating here week after week, it must be good!
